Re: New Leadership at Anderson Merchandisers

I want to share some exciting news with all of you.

For the first time in many years there is a new leader at Anderson Merchandisers. This is such an appealing job that we have lured former Walmart U.S. Executive Vice President and President of Supercenters Michael Moore out of retirement. Moore retired earlier this year at age 53 and now he will become CEO of Anderson Merchandisers.

Our current CEO Bill Lardie has wanted to retire for a couple of years now, but after so many years at the helm he’s a hard man to replace. To find someone as talented and universally respected as Michael Moore and for him to agree to come out of retirement is very exciting.

Bill Lardie has been with the company since 1986 has agreed to remain involved and will take a seat on our board of directors.

Here’s what Mike Moore told me about taking the job. “In my years with Walmart, Anderson Merchandisers was absolutely one of the best we worked with, so a chance to work with Charlie and his team and bring new ideas, drive growth and add more great customers was just too good an opportunity to pass up. I will, of course, be thrilled to be working with Walmart again.”

In addition, current COO Jeffery King will move into the role of President. Jeff has been with us since 1989.

This team gives us an excellent mix of homegrown and new perspective. I believe it will be nothing but good for the company, our current and our future clients.

Jeff King told me, “I’m excited about my new role and excited about working with Mike Moore. This is going to create new opportunities, challenges and ultimately rewards for our 5,000 associates across the country.”

I can’t say enough good things about Bill Lardie. As Bill put it, “It’s tough to leave after so many years, but I leave with total confidence in the people Charlie has put in place.” I’m delighted Bill has agreed to serve on our board.

Anderson has been named one of America’s Best Midsized companies by Forbes Magazine the last two years. We are not only a Walmart Preferred Service Provider, but also won the 2019 Walmart Service Excellence Award.

As you all know, we use proprietary cutting-edge technology to provide customers real-time data on products in stores across the country. It’s part of E3: Execution Excellence Every Day here at Anderson. It works because all of you help make it work.

These changes take effect October 5.
